Mainframes remain at the heart of the largest enterprises. This is, in part, is due to the technology excelling at supporting complex reliability, security and manageability requirements. These strengths are becoming more obvious as distributed systems scale up and encounter issues that have been recognised, studied and resolved for mainframes. This talk will consider the current resurgence in Mainframe Computing. We will take a look at some of the emerging areas of business growth, discuss new software solutions and some recent projects.
