In times of tight budgets and recessions, businesses look to ways to reduce costs and overheads in the way they run their operations.

This presentation is an introduction to Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), and how it can (and maybe shouldn't!) be implemented. Describing the overall theory behind SOA and how the technology supporting it hangs together, the presentation will also put forward a small case study of a real life implementation.
