Although the pressures of time and work may make us more concerned with more immediate issues, there is a huge issue that overshadows everything and which is right at the top of the Business Agenda.

It concerns all of us, from the Service Desk to the CEO, and across the IT Professional-User/Customer Divide, and has been called the ‘Holy Grail’ of IT in Business.

It’s the issue of how to get your Business and IT truly integrated, aligned and joined up.

A forthcoming book, The JUMP Model: Joining Up Business and IT, follows upon several years of global research with leading academics and business leaders, and presents a practical and action-oriented approach on how to get business needs & opportunities joined up with IT capabilities & resources.

The purpose of the talk is to expose the book, currently in draft form, for discussion and comment.
