Cornelia will speak on how open source systems have resulted in new avenues of research in software engineering and how the practices of open source communities have developed and are influencing traditional software engineering. She will also highlight the use of open source software in education and discussion the phenomenon of "open" research.

Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Lincoln and Director of the Centre for Research in Open Source Software at the university.

Leader of the Distributed Software Engineering research group with research spanning both distributed systems and software engineering coming together in research on collaborative software development.
